Glowshift Pyro problem
Last night putting my pyro probe in, I figured out that the nut that screws into the manifold has fine threads. I went and tried to put it on a nut and it wouldnt go in, and the hole I tapped is the right size but wrong kind of threads. I dont get why they would give me a fine thread bolt to put in the manifold. So now i have a hole and threads in my manifold and a probe that wont fit up. I think I am going to go to a hardware store and get a nut that'll fit up and weld that nut over the hole and use that. Thats about all I can think of. Welcoming any ideas.

not sure if it would work for the pyro, but thead inserts. All you would have to do is drill the hole larger, tap it again, and put in a thread insert.
If all else fails, do what you are doing. |

I took everything down to this little mom and pop hardware store and he told me I had a regular thread tap and the one I needed was a pipe thread tap. It was 15 bucks but I was able to retap the same hole.
