Chip/Tuner with no other mods?

Hey guys, I'm still pretty new here and new to the PSDs. I just ordered a chip from DP Tuner, and a set of gauges. I'm not planning on going too crazy with the truck (tunes on the chip are only 80hp econo and 80hp tow). My question is, as long as I keep an eye on the gauges of course, is 80 horses really going to hurt anything (or help me any) if I don't do exhaust/intake right away?

You will be fine. You could always straight pipe the stock exhaust and it takes 10 minutes to do the 6637 intake.
