So im pretty new to powerstrokes just got my 7.3 in feb. and needed new tires so i figured while im at it i may as well lift it. i ordered my 6 inch lift and a month later and a couple thousand calls to fed ex i am left with the explanation "im sorry mr smith it seems we lost your package" a 500lbs package went missing what the hell?
![]() Well anyway while im waiting in the fed ex black hole i would like some advice on what i should get to install the lift without barn engineering some tool to try and do something. all looks very cut and dry just lookin for some experienced insight |

some good jack stands and a couple of friends. me and my brother in-law put his on with hand tools and a couple floor jacks in about 6 hours.

Normal hand tools should do the job. Floor jacks and good jack stands are a must. You're gonna be putting a 6 inch lift on so assume that you have to jack the truck up an extra 6 inches.

pretty easy as long as you got tall enough stands and a tall enough jack

Air tools? I couldn't imagine doing mine without them.

only ones i would suggest from the norm is plenty of rags wd40 some parts cleaner propane torch JIC and locTite for parts you know arent coming off.
just some of the overlooked neccessities. and beer. |

Might want to rent or buy a pit man arm puller from the auto parts store just to make that part easier. Air tools, big sockets and PB blaster everything a couple days before.
