how bad is this rust?

Found a 2001 f350 for 5800, in new york, the guy sent me a picture of the undercarriage, what do you think?

Doesn't look too bad, more concerning is the bottom inside edge of the doors, those get hammered pretty bad by the salt brine we use to de-ice the roads.

Where is it in NY? if its in Central NY (syracuse, oswego, auburn, cortland, utica) I'd be happy to go look it over for ya. There's a nice 94 extended cab 350, I think it has a manual trans, Manual shift 4x4, 140K on the turbo 7.3, gold in color, for 4K. Its on syracuse Craigslist

Let me see if I'm close, Binghampton? I figured out that's a Taylor Garbage dumpster in the background, they operate in the Binghampton and Endicott areas. Binghmapton is lighter on snow and ice, but they also use cinders which scuff and scrub paint and undercoatings off like sandblasting.

thats actually pretty clean. i would not worry about that at all. only light surface rusting
