Super duty tailgate on an 98 F150?

My brother has a 98 F150 and his gate is rusted out, I have an 08 gate now and was wondering if the 2000 gate would fit his truck?

I was under the impression that they would interchange.... recall someone putting the 150 tailgate on his 350 dually and leaving the 150 badge... how funny... "gee, I didn't know they made a F150 dually..."

If your brother lives close by one way to find out is try it. But from my understanding yes you can swap it out and it will work.

yes the 97-03 f150 uses the same tailgate as 99-07 superduties. no worries just be a nice guy and sell it to him for the cost of your 08 gate LOL jk. yes it will work though

Chris if it is a white tailgate than No it won't fit his truck but it will fit mine, can I have the same deal??
