new clutch installed, weird noises now
I just had my clutch replaced after one of the springs in the stock clutch decided to pop out of the clutch.
The shop said they put in a heavier duty ceramic clutch. It drives fine, but when I am sitting still without the clutch depressed, there is a loud noise, almost as loud as the engine itself, it happens when the truck is idling, or when I am sitting at a stoplight. As soon as you press the clutch in it goes away. It sounds like a loud spinning noise. If you press lightly on the accelerator it goes away while in neutral. They said the replaced the throwout bearing as well and had the flywheel cut. Any ideas on what this could be? The shop seems stumped and I wouldn't mind some ideas before I bring it back to have them open it up again. |
