oil change interval

I drive very few miles. By the time 3 months goes by, I usually only have about 1,000 miles on the oil. Should I change the oil by every 3 months or can I wait until I hit 5,000 miles?

If it's driven that little I'd say waiting for 5,000 miles is out of the question.

Best thing you can do is get a "used oil analysis" done by blackstone labs after an oil change.

You need to change it more frequent with short trip driving. condensation can for in your engine and oil when the truck is used for short trip driving. Short trips are harder on a vehicle than towing a heavy load is
