Slow adds on support mods(log thread)

As of right now I only have mods listed in my sig. My goal is to get Truck Source Diesels' 6pos chip, new turbo and sticks. TSD is a local shop and I have heard great things about their tunes. I just now ordered a 4 guage A-piller pod. $49.99 free shipping. But I only got the pod. I'm still debating on the guages, and have questions. As for the boost I know I want needle style to watch it spin, but as for EGT and Trans would analog be a better route? I feel the needle style would not give as accurate reading, true not true? As for the 4th hole I will be getting a filler plug, that is where I plan to put the chip knob...out of reach of passengers. The pod I got is glow shift but I heard their guages are nothing to shake a stick at. Autometer better to go with it seems.

As for sticks I feel hybrids will be more than what I need, I rethough what I wanted in power when I first got the truck of course 450HP sounded great but 360-400HP thats reliable is what I would like to do. A friend suggested single shots but never read much on anything but hybrids. Anyone have an article they can post for reading?

Then the turbo, many people like the 38R, and from what I have read this should suit me just fine. Thoughts? Different option? Or would the stock turbo suit me good?

Now for all this in regards to support mods, I have no idea on anything past the gauges. Will I be looking into a fuel system, or should I be ok? Need a bigger intercooler? I already have a trans cooler, but its not huge maybe 5in tall 11 in long. I plan to go bigger or add another along with a mag 5qt pan.

I'm a newb and this thread is to log where I am with my upgrades as this will be over a year before I reach my goals. Gotta go down the line one step at a time. And some where in there gears will be thrown in too.

You sound like your on the same path I want to be. I'm thinking hybrids would be better, because then you can save some cash on the hpop, but I'm still learning. I know they will say something about a transmission, but I say go til it blows. HaHa

Not worried about the trans until 3 years pass, unlimited rebuilds on it.
