rearended

i was on my way home from work Friday evening about 2min. from my house. i was stopped at a red light, and felt "the bump". i looked in rearview, and didn't see anyone behind me. i was real confused and looked in front of me, thinking maybe my foot slipped off the brake and i tapped something. nothing there so i pulled off the road and saw the car behind me. thankfully all he hit was my hitch, and scuffed up the plactic cover on the bumper a little bit. there was a cop sitting and the intersection, and immediately started sobrioty test with the dude that hit me, asking me if was ok. well turns out he'd popped a few zanexes about 45min. before he hit me, which sucks bc i know the guy and was gonna let it go bc my truck wasn't hurt, but they arrested him on the scene. just gotta say i'm so thankful my truck is lifted, or it would've sustained a bit of damge, as it did to the car that hit me. btw i did go ahead and contact my ins. agent, and he advised me to get police report just in case, so i'm covered if i notice any hidden damgage later. guys don't be stupid and driving illegally!

had a similar story in my dad's truck(97 f350) and this woman in a civic ran into the back of us...we thought it was the transmission at first LOL its good to be higher up on the food chain.
