Got used PS-pay for survey or not?

I just purchased a 2001 7.3 4 wheel drive with 132k. It appears to drive out fine. But what do I know? My only prior diesel experience is having purchased a new 95 Powerstroke in 95 and driving it for two years. This one does not seem to have the same quick response, but is ok.

So my question has to do with the next step. I can either check and change out all of the fluids and filters like a lot of people do or first spend $139 to have a local reputable diesel shop look it over and tell me what they find.

Do you think it's worth having it looked at first? Or is the fact that it starts and runs and drives fine preclude spending that money?

Do an oil and change all of your filters, and go from there.
