Is 153k to many miles to purchase a 7.3

I found a used 2001 7.3L with a 153k on the clock. It is a stock truck without any aftermarket upgrades and has a 6 speed. In yall's opinion would this truck have too many miles to purchase as my daily driver? Also what issues or problems would you see me having to deal with first if I were to purchase the truck? Thanks for your input.

does it have any maintenance records? I probably would consider it if it was a taken care of motor w/ no big issues. i bought mine with 140 on the ticker.

I've got just over 165,000 on my truck. I change the oil/fluids/filters/tire rotation at regular intervals, replace stuff that breaks and have updated the looks a bit. Still running strong. It's my DD and I pull a 12Klb 5th wheel.

I agree with HOUTX01X, a lot would depend on how well its been maintained. If they can show ya that stuff - You'll probably find you will have a good truck.

if it runs good and you have driven a few others to compare i would not be afraid. I got mine with 152 on it runs like a top. You are in Gasser mode I personaly would not buy a gasser with more than 60 but a diesel i would not be afraid of 150.

the only gasser i'd buy with that many miles again was my lil tacoma.. thing was a tank, useless as a truck but that 2rz was indestructible. sold it to some kid with 121k, just broken in.

get the truck dude!
