1st time PSD owner

Just bought my 2000 F-350 , I think I found a pretty good truck. Its got 82,000 miles on it and the only thing that I have noticed, when i get on to the breaks pretty good there is a little vibration in the steering wheel. So I may be getting close to having to do a brake job??? I guess my real question is, the truck didnt have any maint records. Should I go ahead and service the tranny, diffs, transfer case and radiator just so I'll have a milege to go by for up coming services? Are any one more important than the other? And what is a rough estimate to the damage my wallet is going to recieve? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Ian

I would replace all the fluids , this way you have a starting point. The hydroboost system should be flushed with a synthetic tranny fluid, front and rear diff with a good quality synthetic and don't forget to flush the brake fluid. Doing this is good for the mind.

x2 on replacing the fluids. make sure you also put in a new fuel filter. if and when you change the coolant. buy some test strips and sca's so you can put in the right amount, to prevent cavitation.

The vibration in the steering wheel could be uneven or warped rotors, have them turned down and new pads on and your good to go.
