question about extendable mirrors
I have these on my truck, and they are extended out, and it feels like when I try to push them in they are going to break right off.
Have they been stuck out for too long and just sticking or is this normal? Any tips on getting these SOBs in would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Matt |

If they are all the way out, might need to take some wd40 or similar lubricant and see if that breaks them free. They should slide in and out pretty easily. |

Yeah I tried pulling them out too and they wouldn't budge. I will try WD40 and see if that helps
Thanks, Matt |

What year is your truck? My brother in law has an X that has extendable mirrors, so when I bought my 99, I assumed they would be extendable. They are not. At least they are permanantly in the 'out' position.

My truck is a 2000. So do some come with mirrors that look extendable but are not?

Early 99's had non extendable, from 2000 on they were extendable. I would spray the crap out of them with PB Blaster, then let them soak for a while. Will look like hell for a bit but it should bust them loose.
