Opinions on Batteries

Wondering what you guys think about the Odyssey Battery ODYSSEY or the Sears version Platinum P-2, SEARS

Any experiences with either?

Worth the extra $$$ or just stick with the OEM Motorcraft?

I looked at the odessey batteries when I replaced mine about a month ago. We happened to stop at costco the same day and their kirkland brand batteries are 850cca (my oem were 750) and I believe they were $74.99 w/core. And I believe they have a 3 year replacement/100-month pro-rated warranty.

Yeah, can't beat the Costco warranty. And that they have a no hassle return/exchange on the batteries...

I convinced myself to spend the big bucks and order a set from Sears. They are definitely an Odyssey batteries in a Diehard wrapper. Found a discount coupon for Sears online orders, decided to take advantage of it while it was still valid. Will pick them up tomorrow.

There is absolutely no better battery on the market! I have one that has lasted about 7 years now and still running strong. Two more are at about 4 years old and haven't had one hickup out of them yet. If they ever go dead, a simple trickle charge and they are ready to run again.

Optimas are now made in Mexico. I would stay away. I run quite a few Dekas from East Penn Manufacturing and have had great success.
