big problem need quic response

i was changing my sender for the trans gauge(it was reading a little high)
when i took the old one off the tip is missing
it is copper so it will not get stuck to the magnet
is it safe to drive (do not have time to drop pan) ?
is the oil in the pan supposed to go through the filter first and then in the trans?
thanks guys

Bump for you. Interesting question. Theoretically I would say yes, but anything that big and foreign in the pan can't be good. Hopefully someone will have a more solid answer because I just don't know. Never really thought about it.
