forged or pmr's

my build date is 09/00 is it for sure before october of 00 it was all forged or do u think i could possibly have pmr's..... o and my rear diff code is d1.... does that mean its 3.73 im pretty sure it is just wanna make sure

I think you would have forged rods....but i am not too sure sorry! Hope someone smarter than I can help

9/00 build date does not guarantee forged rods. It really depends on where it's built, even that's not a sure thing. The only way to tell is to pull the inspection plug out by the oil filter and look at the connecting rod nuts. The Forged rods will have studs and 12 point nuts, the PMR's will have bolts.

The plug requires a 5/16 square wrench. You can make a tool by grinding down a bolt so that the end is 5/16" square.

D1 = 3.73 limited slip - F350
