Chirping................
Nice day so windows were down and I noticed a "chirping" from my RF wheel. Only hear it at low speed and pretty much only when I cut the wheel to the left, although I did hear it a time or two when rolling straight. Also is not constant.
Just replaced the hub/bearing assy on that wheel and it kind of sounds like a brake squeeler, but I kind of doubt that. Now this description would usually indicate a wheel bearing/hub, but then again if so, it should make noise at speed to, especially when turning. I sure hope the brand new hub assy is not going. Thoughts? Last edited by robertwhite; 04-07-2010 at 03:58 PM. |

4WD? Could it be the Ft. U-Joint?

Replaced that U-joint also.
I actually have no idea how long the chirping has been there because winter just ended and this is the first tim eI drove with that window down. I would have to assume it just started. **** Can a Mod please place an "i" in the title of this thread. I just noticed I left it out of "Chirping" and don't think the advanced edit will work.**** |
