Thumbs up Unplugging EGR?

Hey guys, I've heard of unplugging the EGR valve to get better MPG and throttle response. Is it true, and does it throw codes? I'm all for better MPG, but is it easy to do? I'm not too familiar with the 7.3, I've only had it for about a month and it's my first Diesel. I love it and am always looking for better performance. If it is easy to do, where is it located, or does anyone have pictures so I know what I'm doing? Thanks for all the help guys. By the way, anyone live here in Oregon, close to Portland? Later

Sorry guys, I should've searched first before posting. I found out that the 7.3 doesn't have an EGR.
