Found this about the CPS starting May 1

found this on another forum ( i know bad me)

Interesting development in the price of a 99-up 7.3 CPS.

Looks as though effective May 1 the part # and price change on the CPS. Part # goes from F7TZ12K073A to F7TZ12K073B and list price goes from $190 to $25

anyone else hear about it?

Man, that will be quite a relief. That sensor should never have been that much for as often as it fails.

The local Ford dealer changed mine out today (per the December 2007 recall), took about 30 minutes. I'm getting ready for a cross country trip to Phoenix next week and didn't want to take any chances. I hadn't received my recall letter, but they looked up my VIN and took care of me. I also bought a spare while I was there, cost was $29.00.
