need advice about ball joints
Im new to the world of powerstrokes and lifted trucks but i did own a f150. I sold the f150 and upgraded to a 2000 f350 with 229K miles, 7.3, 10 inch superlift, DP tuner, and a trans commander. The truck also has 18 inch cepek wheels and 38.5 x 14.4 pro comp tires. I just brought the truck to a shop for them to look it over because it was pulling to the right. They told me i need all new ball joints and u-joints in the front. (I know it is common for the ball joints to be replaced) He told me he can replace all the ball joints, u-joints, rotate the tires, and do a wheel alignment for $1000. The people i have talked to told me its a great deal and this guy does great work. If you guys have any opinions on this i would appreciate it.
By the way i live in North Jersey and im a college student who doesn't have much money.

That's a good-ish price, although you could do it all yourself (besides the alignment) for under $500.

YEA I DID MINE ON MY TRUCK IM A MECHANIC IT TOOK ME ABOUT 2.5 HOURS TO DO ALL 4 ITS JUST A PAIN TO BO BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS SO BIG AND HEAVY AND IF IT HAS ALOT OF MILES AND NEVER BEEN CHANGED THE CAMBER SLEEVES ON THE UPPER BALL JOINT LIKE TO FREEZE IN PLACE SO A MAP GAS IS ALWAYS NICE ON THESE TO HAVE

If you don't want to do it ever again. Just pick up a set of dynatrac prosteer ball joints. they are fully rebuildable (you don't even have to take them out of the knuckle), but they cost about 600 bucks...
