Need a little help in NW ohio SE Michigan

I am looking for some one who knows a lot about 7.3 powerstroke trucks to come with me to look at one I'm thinking of purchasing. It's a 99 f-250 4x4. I would prefer an actual diesel mechanic, but beggars cant be choosers!! If I could get somebody to go, I could put up some $ . Motor sounds a little different than my buddys 03 f-350 so that has me conserned . also, I shifted truck in reverse and it didn't move untill I reved it a little.

Only diesel I have owned was a cummins, but I'm looking at fords now
