Is an early F-250 1999 a bad choice?

Guys,
I got the opportunity to buy a rwd 7.3 F-250 SD early 1999. I just want to use it as a daily truck, no performance mods except an exhaust if need be and a filter.

Are parts harder to find? are they more expensive? What do you think in terms of maintenance and repair. The truck has 240K miles,m but has been well maintained. If it will always be a problem to find the parts, I will try to find a later model.

What about aftermarket parts? I will be doing the repair on it myself.
Thanks
Erik

the good thing is that most of the stuff from late 99 to 03 can be switched to it so that it will be just like the late 99 you just have to find the parts. which im sure someone will tell u what they are i dont really remember. if the price is good most of the parts are identical id say getg her

Both of my f350's are early 99-both single wheel and have had no problems at all getting any parts

The truck I have now is a early, my last one was a late... A few things are different but they seem to be the same power overall, the early turbo sounds way better though...

Parts are just as easy to get..
