how to test 3rd brake light LEDs
I bought a 3rd brake light with LEDs. I love it. Just today I noticed the one side (passenger) of the LEDs that light up to illuminate the cargo area (one set of 4 bulbs on either side of the brake light) is out.
How should I go about testing this? I am assuming they are getting power (since the other side lights up). Of course I could be wrong about this. I don't know where to start testing it. All help would be greatly appreciated. Step by step process would be great. Thanks. |

Get a meter and have someone step on the brake. Or I justed used a brick when diagnosing my brake lights.

I say it's a Recon. Mine did the same thing at less than 1 year old.

I was just guessing. I got them to replace mine and the new one has been fine so far.

I think it is a recon. So did anybody actually test them? Sounds like people are just replacing them. Mine is over a year so no warrenty is possible.
Still looking how to test the lights. It isn't for the brake, it is for the cargo light. . |
