Hard start after oil change (new diesel owner)

I just picked up a 2000 7.3. I just changed the oil to rotella T 15W 40 the original owner told me he used valvoline 15W 40. He said it was due for a oil change when I got it so I went to wallyworld and they had rotella T no valvoline so I said what the hell no big deal since lots of people run rotella. It has been warmer since I have changed the oil and it seems like it cranks longer and kind of stumbles a little when it finally starts. Before the oil change it would crank then fire right up with no stumble. I hope I am explaining this right its not missing or anything it just starts a little different. It seemed like it started better when it was 20 deg out now its 60. Truck still seems to run well just a little different starting now.

I had the guy who fixed the oil leak I had do the change for me since he had it on the lift. I check the oil today and its at the add line. I need to pick up some oil tomorrow and top it off.

dont get your oil changed at walmart

Oil was not changed at walmart I just bought the oil and filter there.

ah switch to 10-40 or a 5-40 wont hurt to run, is it slow start like roaar..roaaar..roaaaar bnag clang clang lol or like nah nah nah nah bang clang i run 10-40 yr round

if it sounds like it is rumping at start up then smoothing out nothing to worry about with fresh 15-40 oil will be thicker than the old oil that was in there causeing the romps and if it bothers you switch to a syn 5-40 it will cure your case of the romps
