Abs

Well I parked my truck at work today and when I fired it up to come home the abs light didnt go off .. so I shut the truck off and restarted it and its still on.. I wasnt moving at all, it always lights up on the start up but always goes off ... not this time.

Should I try unhooking the battery for a hr or so and see if it resets itself? I will mention it to the dealer when I bring it in Monday to have the parking brake tightened up a little, but I'd rather not look at it untill Monday if I can make it go out.. and the truck stops fine

ah well **** happens

Depending on what year it is. There is an abs sensor on the ring gear in the rear. They get dirty and it turns on the light. Just follow a group of wires down to you rear end. You pull out that sensor and clean it and put it back in it should be fine.
