NEED EXPERT HELP....Engine serial number question

I was looking on my engine for the serial number to figure out if I have powdered rods or forged. What I came up with was 7 4JU2U1845053 so from what I understand the serial number is 1845053 (this came off the block by the oil filter housing). Now from what I have read 1498319 through the end of production are PMR. This doesnt seem right because that would mean that this engine is 346,734 engines down the line. Just doesnt seem right. Need any input!!!!
