The 0c99's(black CPS) have been replaced buy another part number at International. I forget the new part number.
The only way you'll be able to find any is if your local International dealer has some left over or if some one has one to sell that they've had forever. When they discontinued the 0c99's I bought all they had locally and sold them to other members of the forums.

The Black ones are much more prone to failure.

The Gray ones don't work as well, but last longer.

The answer is to carry a spare Black one

IH part # 1821720C99 (if you can find 'em....)

the blue one from the dt466 (i think those are right #'s) Are supposed to be real good and idle smooth. But i have read and had bob guzzle Replacement O-rings for Ford Diesel Engines
tell me to not use that if i intend on running a chip.
My wifes 99 runs fine with a gray cps. My idles crappier and is louder with the gray one.
I dont mind the noise but more of a cackle noise not a cool noise.

1821720c99 is the desirable black one for the superduty.

Not everyone agrees the black ones are better.

This is a much, much debated topic on all the forums.

But that is the part# for the SD that has been discontinued.

the new gray one ends in "B" for the part number, the previous black one was the same number but ended in "A" wasn't it?
