Depending how your flatbed is setup you can run it on the outside so it doesn't use any bedroom.

I want to put stacks on my flatbed 450 and thought about running them like this. How hot do stacks get? Any issues with the heat affecting the paint?

They don't get too hot & when you think about it they always have wind hitting them cooling them off when mounted on the outside.
