2000 f-350 catalitic converter ?

i have a 2000 ford f-350 with a 7.3l psd and i thoght that it had a cat on it but it dose not.. can anyone tell me if it came with one?

no. diesel trucks dont have cat 's the new ones have particulate filters but you wouldnt have to worry about them even untill new-er trucks...... maybe 03 up??? not 100% on that but i know not 2000 and older for sure

this isnt true. OBS trucks had them, early 99's did, the rest were off and on some did some didnt.

my 1994 7.3 came with a cat till I cut it off sold it for 200 bucks junk yard, inspection guys always thought it didn't come with one. Gave me my little sticker every time.

From 1999-2003 the only 7.3's with cats were the 99 year. The 7.3 weren't really strict on any type of emissions

My 2000 is/was cat free. I kinda like the smell that a cat gives the exhaust but am glad to not have a bunch of emissions garbage.

Yes, the older PSDs had cats. Other brands of diesel have cats too. Not just DPFs.

x10 some did some didn't my 99 didnt. my friends did and i think the dodges did but not sure best if it does cut the sucker off dont worry about it. i cut my muffler off and the shop that inspected it didnt even notice it was missing lol thought the truck would be louder but its not much.

A lot of BS in this thread!! Many PSD's came with Cat's but no Y2K trucks did, if yours came with one there will be a sticker on the hood that says so. Pretty easy!!!

My '99 had one. I say that gbecause there was a heat shield where it would have been. Someone else removed the cat.
