i saw the a tread the other day on here that talked about about cleanin some tube can someone help me out with this i would like to get more than 10 mpg what is this called

There is a tube that goes from the passenger side exhaust manifold up the front of the engine to a sensor that is for the ebpv. Not sure if that may be the tube you are talking about? That tube can get stopped up with soot though and can be cleaned out. I don't think that cleaning that out is going to have any effect on your fuel mileage though.

Try and give everyone some more detailed info if you can.
But yeah-10 mpg is horrible!

ok glad its not just me it a 2001 4*4 crew cab 7.3! i put a level kit on the front with 295 70 18 nitto trail grapplers< the truck has a fresh short block new ford factory turbo with banks wheel banks big hoss wastegate bullydog cold air diablo sport programmer and i think 150 hp injector that part im not sure about

...still doesnt explain 10mpg unless your spewing so much black from huge injetors and only running stock turbo... 10 is nuts.. ive seena s low as 15 but never 10...and im mean to my truck!

you live in a really cold climate, alot of idle time. i just moved back to the south from alaska and saw a big jump in mpg. i got around 9mpg in the city of anchorage, and i am now getting around 15mpg. From alaska to tennessee towing a trailer i got 8mpg.

it does have the stock turbo but with a banks wheel and the guys i bought the truck from said it has 150hp injectors but im not sure if it does, i live in texas so climate shouldnt matter so if anyone can help me out and point me in the right direction i would appericate it
