Lots of Air bubbles in my oil???

well i pulled my valve cover off to track down my knock and i think #2 is making the noise, but i also noticed that my oil has air bubbles in it im using motorcraft 15w40. when i was using rotella i never saw air bubbles the weird part is that #2 is flowing more oil than the rest and thats where the noise is coming from. Any ideas besides switch back to rotella?or an idea on whats causing the bubbles, im about ready to find a different motor to put in.

I would pull that injector and take a look at it. At least look at the orings and copper washer.

Maybe a compression test next if the injector is ok. You can actually get a brand new manufactured long block with forged rods for around 4400 from Riffraff Diesel. Probably the cheapest place to find them... Hopefully you don't have to go that route. Riffraff Diesel: Ford Enhanced Long Block

i gotta talk to my brother to see if a buddy of his can do the injector tests cause when i had the injector unplugged with my stethoscope on it, it quieted alot not completely but it'll be a start. if i do end up replacing the motor i got a couple lines on some used ones. i cant afford a "new" motor right now.
