Whats the difference in the dt444 and the dt466 motors?

The DT444 is the 7.3L V8 used in our trucks, school buses, transport vans, abulances, etc. The DT466 is an inline 6 motor that is more commonly found in new busses, and just about every medium sized transport vehicle. We even have a few fire apparatus with the DT466. No really different, just ones a V8, ones a straight 6.

the dt466 has been around since the 70's it's the same block as the dt414 and dt436 just different stroke used in medium duty trucks and alot of ag tractors and it's an I-6 it's eveolved alot over the last 40yrs real powerhouse!!

the older dt466's were bosch p-pumped so a 93-95 sounds like the best years for performance of this engine. cuz then they changed to heui
