fuel pump help (search was helpful, now trying need help)

alright so I searched and read and searched and read. Then i tried didnt work so i searched and read some more. ive come to the conclusion my fuel pump is done! Trying to replace it, but can't disconnect fuel lines from it. How do you go about disconnecting the lines? Someone please help me, I tried the disconnect tools but it wont fit on the line coming from the fuel tank. really need to fix the truck tomorrow. You need the right size disconnect tool. Mine came right off when i did the prepump/tank mods. Its not that bad, but sometimes if you spray the connector with some WD40 or something similiar it help out a good bit.

I got the tool figured out the disconnect on the outbound side of the pump, but the tool wont fit inbetween the pump and the hose on the inbound side. Am i trying to disconnect at the wrong spot?

is the tool too big to fit in the spot to disconnect? MIne was, had to modify tool to fit. Mine was plastic so I just cut some of the tool to shorten it so it would fit.

on the in side u just pull that little plastic clip out and on the out side u use that tool
