power locks and key fob

Hey,

After you start the truck, does your factory key fob lock \ unlock the doors? Mine does not, I have a late 99 with lariat package. Is there a way to make them work when the truck is running?

Just wanted to know before I lock my self out.....wait, I just did that tonight....

Plus the local police man could not slim jim the door....

But with a big pry bar, and a thick hanger, you can hit the unlock button or window button But at 25F out, I had to call my brother to help me

on my truck i can use the fob to lock and unlock while the truck is running. but mines an 02. maybe its something they have changed? i wouldn't think so but maybe.

not to steal thread but while we are on the topic has anyone reprogrammed a key fob for one of these? i need a new one and don't know how hard it is.

I have heard you can turn the key on and off (do not start truck) 5 times, and it will allow you to hit a key on each one, but you have to do all of them at once. I think there is a thread about it but not sure. I think i even read about it on ebay!

Maybe that is all I need to do it reprogram....... ummm great idea.
