Rear End Gear Ratio

I just bought a F-350 4wd PSD single wheel rear end and was wondering how to tell what gears i have in the rear end and what is "typical" if it is hard for a novice to figure out?

thanks,

tate

There should be a tag on the rearend cover bolts, the tag will tell you what gear ratio your truck has unless someone changed them.....my 2000 super-duty has two tags, one on the drivers side of the rear cover bolts says to use synthetic the tag on the passenger side calls out the ratio and if it's limited slip or not....Fred

Ratios should be either a 3:73 or 4:11....being a F-350 it may tend to be the 4:11 ratio....Fred

F-350 with SRW will probably be a 3.73, on F250's you could get 4.11 srw but on 350's you had to go to a DRW to get a 4.11.
