Guages What to do?
I am getting gauges for my 2000 f-250. I saw the three pod set up for around 350 from a site sponsor. Then I got to looking at programmers at PHP their gryphon set up has a egt port to monitor egt and you can read trans temp and other things via the obd port. But I would still have to get a boost gauge to see what the boost is doing correct. Does the M.A.P. tell you boost on a scanguage? The gryphon is 575 with three tunes is this a good way to kill two birds with one stone?
Thanks Duane |

yes the map will tell you boost.... but if you install a boost fooler then the gauge reading will not be good.... PHP tunes for a stock truck are $350 and you can get a set of gauges for $199... talk to Darrell at DPP and he will hook you up... here is his website.

im not too fond of electronic gauges... my advice is get a chip and gauges separate.... you could get regular gauges for as cheap as 200 bucks for the whole setup....
the stock truck starts defueling at a designated PSI... a boost fooler basically tells the truck that your at like 20psi when your really at 30psi.. so if your reading off the map line it will not read correctly... let me know if you need any prices -Raul |
