removing the bed??

I am going to have body work done soon on my bed. I removed dually fenders fir a srw. I have work to do.
How does the bed come off? Remove tail lights and unhook wiring, gas tank filler neck needs to be unbolted.
hows the bed come off? anything tricky or is it just the torx bolts?
anyone have any idea of how heavy it is??
how many guys to lift it?

3 Guys to lift it off, and it is a T50 torx head, I broke 3 of the socket style torx drivers doing this, so get craftsman, so when it breaks they will replace it!

Ive done it with 2 people, but its tricky. and they need to be built
So get 3, one in the back and 2 at the front corners.
if your friends are skinny 4 people wont hurt lol

Removing the bed is easy. Light you said taillights, but not a must, all the wiring is on connectors. open fuel door and remove the 3 screws. and the bolts can be tricky depending on if the torx bit doesnt break. I currently have my bed off.

Did you just say that you converted from dually to srw?

I am seriously considering it for my 02. Whats involved? I am thinking, removing the flares, some body work back there, remove the adapters up front and then new wheels...or am I waaaay off?

thats all i did, the rear does stick out like 2.5 inches farther per side in the back.
Maybe get wheels for the 05 up trucks. They have mopre back spacing. Then get 2 inch spacers for the front.(05 up wheels to go on 04 back need 2 inch front spacers)
