Best bully dog Chip setting for MPG?
Hi,
I have had my late 99 psd 6-speed for about a month or so, and I am very happy with it (had to rebuilt the front end and do a couple other minor things) The current mods are -5" exhaust with no muffler, -I gutted the ebpv -S&B intake -foil delete -bully dog 6 pos. chip I think my chip settings are 50, 75, 120 high idle and valet. I'm having some trouble figuring out what position to run the chip in for the best mileage. I have been mostly running around on the 50hp setting (I granny drive it around most of the time, so I dont really need the 120 anyway). I am wondering if a more aggressive setting (still driven like a granny) will get me a little better mileage. Ideally, I would like to get some custom tunes for the truck, but for now, I am working with what it came with. |

Always, a hotter tune will get you better mileage IF you drive it like you say you will.

hmm good to know, ill try clicking it up a couple notches. The problem is the temptation to step on the pedal is much greater when you know it will actually go
