Synth. or Reg. oil

so i have always ran rotella 15w40 i am doing an oil change and thinking about switching to 5w synthetic what are yalls opinion on reg to synthetic i dont mean to beat a dead horse and she just broke 280,000

There is no comarasin between synthetic and regular oil. I'ts what you can afford. Also, you always have the option of going 15/40 synthetic or split the difference with 10/30.

Bottom line is if you can afford it, go synthetic. Also, an added plus is you can go further on an oil change.

Wally World has the 5-40 rotella syn on sale every once in a while for 15 a gallon. I made the switch from 15-40 rotella to 5-40 rotella syn and go about 7500 between changes.

I shoot for 7500, prolly dont actually happen till 8000. Atleast I have good intention. It does normally need it around there, my bro pushes his to 10000.

I also run RP 10-40syn, love it, easier starts and truck just runs quiter!
