weatherstrip frezing?
Is it normal for the weatherstrip to freeze to the door? Yesterday it froze after a snow storm and made opening the door next to impossible without breaking the door handle off while pulling.
I got the driver side open, but the back door i had to push open from the inside. This force ripped the top weatherstip right off of the track... Is there a "fix" for this to prevent in the future? |

this happens on my VW but not my truck.
it's a bit maddening while trying to go to work. I had to crawl through the hatchback lol i put a light smear of vaseline on the door where it contacts the weatherstrip. it's worked like a charm |

I use a dry silicon spray, reapply it a couple or three times each winter. I put it on both the door gasket and door frame on the cab .....

Use some silicone spray and it helps a lot and don't pull on your door handles pull the handle to unlatch it and reach under the door with you fingers and pull. There is more than enough room under the door to get your hands in there and pull on it instead of your handle
