larger exhaust

thinking of going with a larger exhaust. not planning on a chip or any other upgrades, so i am wondering if it will be worth it or not.

looking for good reasons to do it, or reasons not to do it .

if your looking for more power......you probably wont see much noticable....but it should improve your fuel economy a little....and make the motor breathe better.......plus you can get a better sound out of it.........the only negative i really see is it costs you money to do it....other than that its just all around better for the motor......Marc

thats what i was thinking, maybe better mpg by a hair, and little easier on the motor. if i understand correctly, it would help the turbo exhale a little more easy, and spool up a tad quicker.

Larger exhausts do sound really nice though! i like magnaflow....

In order for it to breathe better you need to open up the intake as well. Its kinda like someone holding a rag over your mouth and only taking it off when you exhale and sticking it back in your mouth when you inhale. If you do the intake you remove the rag all thre time.

thats all a matter of opinion and what hes looking to gain in the end.........the exhaust alone will keep the turbo cooler, allow it to spool up quicker.....and sound better.......Marc
