POWERLOSS WHEN COLD & BLACK SMOKE

got a 2000 power stroke that i haven't driven in 2 days due to waiting on master and slave parts to come in.

it was 28 degrees when i started my truck this morning, and it started right up first try, but i noticed my trucks smoke alot (black) more that normal even on the TS 6- 50 setting. after i drove it over 20 miles it still had the same smoke effect (black) and seemed like a bit of power loss. I have diesel kleen in my tank but no anti gel? And this is the first time i've driven this truck this cold since i've owned it. possible my fuel is soooo cold that its not burning well? Its not missing runs fine on normal conditions until i still on it and just seems like the fuel isn't burning like it should. thanks for all the help guys.
