is this possible?
so we all know the truck was rolled.....the bodyshop that fixed it( the body is done already ) says they took the truck to have the wheels buffed out since one was scratched. they said when they took the truck to do that it wouldn't do over 45 miles per hour
my question is, is there a limp mode once these trucks get into an accident, or is there a chance my transmission went bad from the accident? he's trying to get insurance to cover it thinking it happened when the truck was rolled? I just want more insight I've never heard of this before....is there a possibility something inside the trans let loose when it rolled or when they put it back on its wheels?Chad |

I dont know what it might be but it could be limp mode.

that's what I was thinking too, if the trans was bad it wouldn't go into any gear right? how do you about getting it out of limp mode?

Not sure though I do know the newer HUMMV's with OD have a limp mode and only get 2nd gear when anything is out of what the computer thinks is "normal" I don't see why our trucks would be any different

thanks bud I appreciate it. just hope it looks as good as it did the second time around LOL........I hope.....still waiting to hear what is causing this issue.......but apparently the biggest problem causer ( they think is causing this ) is a stuck caliper and a clogged k&n oil filter.......??????never heard of that, but the stuck caliper I can see it not letting it go over 45 with it.....I had the same issue last summer when I blew up a dual piston caliper and it literally exploded..
