Question on Turbo Hose Retaining Rings

I am gathering up all sorts of parts and pieces right now, and will be soon 'undress' the top of my motor for rebuilding my turbo, changing out all my boots, changing various o-rings etc....attempting to stop oil leaks.

On Dieselsite.com, I saw a Turbo Retaining Ring for 3" id boost hose. How many of these rings are required? one or two?

I'm new to working on the PS motors.

Thanks, Russ

I'd say give Dieselsite a call. That's the first I have seen of those rings. From what it looks like to me you would need 4 if you were to put one of those retaining rings on each end of both of your intercooler tubes.

Thanks for the reply..... I'll do some more searching and call if needed.

Reason I been asking a few questions, is that I want to do several Mods plus replace suspect oil leak culprits,,, and I'd like to have all the necessary items on hand and perform the work at one time, as the truck is my daily driver ,only mode of transportation on land since my divorce and I can't afford to get waist deep into it only to find I need a particular doodad, that I ain't got yet.

Thanks, Russ
