Gold coolant

My 2002 has the gold coolant in it. and now that it has hit the 100k mark and 5 years it is due for a change.

Has anyone els changed out there coolant. I was wondering if i can run a PG coolant instead of the EG.

I know you cant run the green EG.

I have been looking at the AMSOIL poly gly coolant.

what is so special about gold coolant??
i use the green stuff................

the green is supposed to be changed out evry 3 years. the gold is fords extended life 5 year 100,000 mile stuff.

If you had the green in the truck originally you are not supposed to ever use teh gold. and vise versa for if you had the gold you cant use the green ford coolant.

also soem have a bittering agent in them..
