Can't shut off overdrive when Cold started?

When I start my truck and try to shut off the overdrive it won't let me untill it warms up some, this normal?

It also seems like it won't go into overdrive when it's not warmed up..

Never tried OD off when cold but not going into OD is normal until
trans gets warmed up,that's normal-all depends on outside temp-but keep in mind this is one of the colder winters we've seen in a long time!
Guess we can throw that "Global Warming " out the window - right?
