Different Wicked Wheel models?
Well I have only seen my wheel installed in my turbo so it might just seeing things but this new one my dad just got looks different... did they make different ones?

Boy they sure don't look anything alike.....
I'm thinking the term "Wicked Wheel" is something that anybody could probably use though. IIRC somebody started calling the original compressor wheel (pre-99) a wicked wheel and today depending where you purchase yours, it could could ot could not be that, original Borg Warner, wheel. Where did yours come from (the one installed)? |

I guess it all depends on what brand it is. The one pictured below is the only kind I have seen before.

they both came from dieselsite.com, they both have the same box, I guess I should check the part number.

You know,,, the more I look at those pictures, the more I think that the thing that makes the installed one look really different might be because the housing is covering-up so much of it.
The roots of the vanes are similar, the top tips (that you see when installed) are too. When you dads is installed, take a picture!

I think its just because the one in the turbo, you can only see the outer side of it and when the new one is in the truck it will look the same? anyone have any pics of yours installed?

They look the same to me. Once you install it, it should look exactly the same.
