Long balljoint studs?

Changed out my ball joints, went to put everthing back together and my ujoints hit the bottom ball joint stud. I had to grind 1/8" on the top of the stud to get the ujoint to clear. Anyone else ever had this problem. Yes they were cheap made in china greaseable balljoints.

The stud wasn't level with the top of the nut?

I measuer them and they were 1/4" londer then the old ones.

Layson. The stud was about 3/8" out of the nut, had to take about 1/8" off to get it to clear the ujoint knockle.

Yep there ya go, just a tad bit longer. So can you even put the grease fitting on there?
