adding 22.5 dually wheels

If I was to go with 22.5 semi wheels, can i just get adapters from 8 lug to the 10 lug (10x285(i think thats what it is) . I am curious if i found wheels from a peterbilt or a kenworth if i can use them?
I know rickson etc sells wheels that bolt right up. Can i use actual big rig wheels? I am curious of back spacing, would i leave my factory front dually spacers on but add the adapters? Then just bolt the wheels on?
what would i have to do?
