7.3 replacement engine

Hey guys, my old 7.3 has a few hundred K on her. I love this truck 2000 f350 LB Lariet. I'm interested in hearing if any of you guys have replaced any of your bullets, and where you got them from. IE. Jasper, rhino, and such. I'm not i nterested in buying an engine on ebay. Jasper's drop in complete has upgraded injectors, rear main, and turbo, I think.

Hmm honestly Im not sure where the best place is to buy a reman. Im sure someone will chime in with some places to check out

i was checking with international and they said 8200 for a brandnew engine. and thats not reman. drop in. sounds good to me

I don't know anything about these people, but the price seems to be right on engines I have checked at other places: PowerPro 2000 Engines, Transmissions, Transfer cases - Diesel Long Block Engines

I read on a few sites about HUEI injectors. Does anyone know the difference between stock and these upgraded injectors ? How about the turbo, what is the turbo upgrade ?

I bought a drop in 7.3L last year for my early '99. I don't remember the company 'cause I'm in Iraq now, but they were out of Seattle. I got a one year warranty and the motor, with the turbo, for $7500.00. If I was home, I'd be able to give you the link. Good quality though. I've not had any problems with it.

HEUI is the name of the Catipillar fuel system used in the 7.3 Powerstrokes. Not sure if the injectors go by the same name, but they would be stock.

what about ford reman? i was there to pick up some parts last week and they sell the 7.3 with i think ( dont quate me) 3 year warranty on it... dont know what the retail price was on it but my wholesale price was lil under 8k for it....

Yeah it has a 3 year on it, my question for the ford reman is are the updates done to it. I know there is a new style rear main seal.

dougger22, is the Cat fuel system something standard with the 7.3 or is that an upgrade also.

I appreciate everyones input. It's hard to believe with so many 7.3's on the road more people haven't needed replacements yet. I guess thats why we love it so much

well the mechanic at my work only works for us for few hours in evening and durring the day he works on a fleet of 100 or so trucks there mostly the 7.3 he swers by the Jasper's reman he has installed 10 or so in the last 2 years and no problems to date
i have seen three junk Jasper's 351 they would blow 200 miles after install
